After you check in at the front desk, a member of our team will guide you back to a dental operatory and help you get comfortable in the chair where you will receive your whitening treatment. We recommend bringing along a pair of headphones and something to watch or listen to help pass the time.
Your treatment will consist of 2 or 3 applications of whitening material to your teeth, with a desensitizing agent applied to your teeth before and in-between sessions. The entire process takes only 90 minutes, and you will immediately have noticeably whiter teeth, up to several shades difference in just one visit!
What if I’m interested in an even whiter shade for my teeth?
Before your first professional whitening session, you will have an opportunity to discuss your desired shade with our staff, and they will If after your first complete session you decide you would like to whiten your teeth to an even brighter shade, ask the team member assisting you about scheduling another session.
How long will my teeth stay this white?
The answer is different for every person, because the shade of your teeth depend on many factors including diet, medications, and habits. A good rule of thumb is that however long it took your teeth to become as stained as they were, that is how long it will take for them to return to that shade. With good oral hygiene and only moderate consumption of staining foods/beverages (coffee etc.), a non-smoking patient can expect to keep their brilliant smile white for a long time to come!
What if my teeth become sensitive?
Some people notice sensitively following treatment, but this is only temporary and should go away within about 24 hours. Teeth sensitivity is different for each patient. If you have additional questions, always feel free to call our office at (615) 221-8837.
