Dr. Thomas Homonnay
Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Thomas (Tomi) Homonnay grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee and attended Brentwood High School. A dedicated soccer player, Tomi played for several club teams as well as the high school varsity team before joining Belmont University’s Division 1 Men’s soccer team. After completing his undergraduate studies, he was accepted to the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis where he graduated with honors and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Tomi is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, the Nashville Dental Society and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
His determination and pursuit of excellence has motivated him to seek intensive training beyond dental school in order to provide the best for each of his patients. In addition to graduating from the Alabama Implant Institute and holding membership with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, he has taken advanced courses in Orthodontics and become an Invisalign Provider. He is particularly excited about his continuing education course in Micro-Thin Prepless Veneers, a minimally invasive approach to preserving healthy enamel. Overall, his goal is to provide unparalleled service to his patients and make each one feel part of the practice’s dental family.
Dr. Tomi has participated in dental missions to Guatemala as well as several Mid South Mission of Mercy events over the years, and enjoys every opportunity he gets to serve his community and local friends. Dr. Tomi and his wife Laura have two children, Ella Claire & Jacob, and currently reside in Brentwood.
Dr. Homonnay’s grandparents moved to the United States from Hungary in the 1940’s during the second World War; consequently, the entire family has a strong cultural heritage to this day. In Hungarian, “Tomi” (pronounced Tow-Mee) is the nickname for “Thomas,” his friends and family have always called him by that name.
